Wasa
The Wasa sank within one nautical mile of the start of her maiden voyage in 1628 before she even left the Stockholm archipelago. Anders Franzén had already found some 17th century wooden ships, as his hobby and obsession was looking for old wrecks. He was bent on finding Wasa and did. Franzén found her in 1956. Although she is now housed on public exhibition, more than 30 years after she was initially brought up, and 95% of her is original parts, some reconstruction work remains to be done.

Oneida
Oneida, one of the gunboats of the Jeffersonian program, was built in 1809 on Lake Ontario by Christian Bergh and Henry Eckford. Much larger than her sister gunboats, she carried one large 32 pounder and 16 carronades. Her general dimensions were 85'-6" between perpendiculars, 22'-6" molded beam, 8'-0" depth of hold, and she measured 262 tons. Contract price was $20,505 and 110 gallons of spirits. She was launched on March 31, 1809, she was said to be a fast sailer. Because she was built prior to the war, and thus not a rushed build, she was constructed properly, and of high quality materials. After the war, in 1815, she was sold out of naval service, spending her remaining years as a commercial vessel. She sailed for 29 years, a testament to her sound design and construction.
